We are looking for a Workforce Planning Consultant to support a leading tech company in San Jose. Strategic Workforce Planning (WFP) is the strategy, analytical forecasting, and planning process that connects business strategy to ensure they have the right people in the right place at the right time and cost. You will work with a variety of stakeholders across the company (HR, Finance, Business leaders, Chiefs of Staff) and partner closely with the HRBPs as a thought partner and subject matter expert to identify and prioritize strategic talent needs and design talent solutions for our client to successfully compete now and into the future. You will be responsible to oversee the development and implementation of new enterprise-wide workforce strategy and plan leveraging workforce data and analytics.

Key deliverables:
1. A final workforce strategy and plan
2. Leveraging pre-existing work, refine and finalize a detailed playbook/process to implement workforce planning at the business unit level
3. Partnered with Senior Leaders and HRBPs, implement the workforce planning process, beginning with the Products organization
4. Identify the implications of desired outcomes, including inputs into our real estate and facilities planning processes
5. Partner with HRBPs and FP&A to integrate workforce planning with our annual planning process
6. Prepare a BoD ready deck to articulate the strategy, outputs and next steps for our September BoD meeting
* Devise a strategy, process, timeline, and change management/implementation plan to define and implement workforce planning. This requires effectively scoping project, developing project plans and milestones, communication and change plans for successful completion of the project and solution adoption. * Partner with senior business leaders and HRBPs to assess their talent needs understanding current and future leadership and capability skill gaps and implement the workforce planning process for their organizations using a data driven approach to develop holistic plans * Embed the workforce planning model into our existing planning cycles to monitor progress against results * Develop workforce management governance, cadence, critical metrics such as KPI's * Provide requirements to establish a consistent, contemporary, real-time workforce management reporting system * Serve as change champion for the workforce management framework to provide executive level updates, briefings and read-outs on program impact during assignment period * Create and continuously update project and change management plans to deliver high quality solution, on time and on budget, with successful implementation. Requirements: * Exceptional analytical skills: comfortable working with large data sets, deriving insights and communicating data findings with executive leadership
