At this time we are seeking exceptional engineering talent to join their Core Infrastructure engineering team. As an Developer Advocate you will be instrumental in helping to provide internal developers with a reliable platform for running their code. As a part of a dynamic and growing team, you will contribute to the infrastructure enabling engineers to reliably deploy, run, and monitor code and configuration into data centers as well as cloud providers. If you excel in supporting and educating engineers about best practices for how to roll-out code, how to debug their services, as well as help with troubleshooting issues related to the systems they will build, please continue to read on. As the go to Developer Advocate you will own of developer experience and productivity as it pertains to Core Infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
  • Be the first point of contact for inbound requests from our internal customers.
  • Improve documentation and self-help resources.
  • Hold office hours and run training sessions.
  • Put on a Product Manager hat and work with managers, engineers and designers on our team to drive requirements into our infrastructure and application roadmaps.
  • Engineering-wide communications and technical project management for platform changes.
  • 5+ years experience supporting demanding technical end-users, preferably other engineers.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, scripting or software development.
  • A technical specialist that revels in solving complex issues around system monitoring.
  • Ability to solve end-user issues by guiding them on use of existing software.
  • Desire to learn and grow as an engineer.
  • Good author of end-user focused documentation.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills. Bonus points
  • Degree in computer science, engineering or related fields.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Git and open source tools.
